Description
Orbital assault done the ugly way. Where a standard drop pod is a blunt cylinder that slams into the dirt and unfolds, a Dreadclaw is a hunched, clawed thing built to grip whatever it lands on, coming down under its own power, settling on splayed petals and putting a squad into the enemy line before anyone has finished looking up. It comes from the older and wilder end of a far-future war setting, back when assault craft were built for terror as much as transport, and it has carried that reputation ever since. On the table it works as a centrepiece as much as a delivery vehicle: a five-file multi-part build at tabletop wargaming scale that gives a deep-striking unit something worth landing in. Suits narrative games, campaign boards and armies built around arriving on top of the enemy.
