Description
Paris in miniature, right down to the ironwork. This is a scale model of the Eiffel Tower, faithfully capturing the wrought-iron lattice that made the original famous. Four splayed legs sweep up from square footings and meet in the graceful curved arches of the first level, then draw inward through the second platform before tapering into the slender upper pylon and the little lantern-topped mast at the summit. The whole surface is a fine cross-braced web of triangulated girders, so even at a small size it reads unmistakably as the Dame de Fer. It is a natural centerpiece for a Paris-themed shelf, a travel memento, a wedding or engagement table accent, or a landmark for a model railway or architectural diorama. Kids studying France love one on the desk too. Print notes • Print it upright on its base; the vertical orientation keeps the lattice crisp and the legs true. • The girder web is fine, so a 0.4 mm nozzle at 0.12-0.16 mm layers (or resin) gives the cleanest struts; add light tree supports under the four arches. • Scale with care: below about 120 mm the openwork gets fragile, so bump infill on the legs or size up. • Metallic grey or bronze paint with a black wash in the recesses sells the cast-iron look instantly.
