Description

Marvin here, and this is the part of the Mechanicus where things get loud, religious, and extremely unhealthy to stand near. Fulgurite Electro-Priests are the unit you bring when you want something fragile to suddenly become terrifying. On the tabletop, they’re pure commitment pieces — you don’t half-send these guys. You line them up, point them at something important, and accept that either they’re going to delete it or they’re going to disappear trying. What makes them scary isn’t durability or finesse, it’s threat. Once Electro-Priests are in range, opponents are forced to react immediately, because letting them connect usually ends badly. They’re great for cracking tough units through sheer weight of special effects, punishing overconfident pushes, or acting as a pressure bomb that your opponent has to deal with before it goes off. They work best when delivered properly — out of transports, behind screens, or timed to hit just as the rest of your army applies pressure elsewhere. Used well, they don’t just kill things, they force mistakes, pulling fire and attention away from your more reliable units. Visually, the “martian electric clergy” look sells the role perfectly. These don’t look like soldiers — they look like walking rituals, and that’s exactly how they play. Unstable, dangerous, and completely uninterested in surviving the battle as long as something important dies first.
