A stern mid-century office tower, ready to anchor a city block on your layout. The model is a modern commercial high-rise: a tall slab of a main tower gridded with regular rows of narrow windows, stepped against a shorter side wing with horizontal banded glazing. A recessed plaza wraps the base on a raised podium, and the flat roof carries a mechanical penthouse and a cluster of rooftop tanks and ductwork — the kind of clutter that makes a building read as lived-in from above. It is a clean, low-detail massing model rather than a fussy ornamented facade, which is exactly what a skyline needs. It suits N and OO/HO model railways, wargaming cityscapes, urban dioramas and architectural massing studies. Line several up and the repeating window grid does the heavy lifting of a downtown backdrop. Print notes • Print the tower standing upright for the truest window grooves; a raft or brim steadies the tall footprint. • FDM at 0.12-0.16 mm layer height keeps the window mullions distinct without fuss; no supports needed for the main faces. • The rooftop tanks and penthouse can be printed in place or as separates if you want to paint them apart. • Scale the file to your gauge (N, TT, OO/HO) before slicing. • Prime grey, then dry-brush the mullions and dark-wash the recessed windows to sell the glass depth.
