Description

A slab of brutalist concrete architecture, all raw fins and stacked banding. This scale structure sets a tall vertical wall, crowned with a row of squared teeth like a comb of chimneys or ventilation stacks, against a lower body wrapped in tight horizontal courses. The whole mass sits on a broad two-step plinth, and scattered blocks and low kerbs run along the base, hinting at loading bays, plant machinery or a service yard. It carries the severe, functional look of a mid-century power station, factory frontage or civic monument. It is built for the modelling bench. Drop it into a 1:87 (HO) or N-gauge layout as a backdrop industrial building, make it a diorama centrepiece, or mass copies to raise a bleak concrete skyline for wargaming terrain. Print notes • Orient it flat on the plinth and it prints support-free; every overhang is either stepped or vertical. • The horizontal banding loves a grey primer and a black wash, then a dry-brush along the raised edges to bring out the concrete. • Rescale in your slicer to match gauge (N, TT, HO/OO); the fin detail stays clean well down in size. • A 0.4 mm nozzle captures the slats nicely; drop finer if you shrink it below railway scale.
