Description
A slab-sided modern tower to anchor your miniature skyline. This is a tall commercial high-rise rendered in a dark, brooding finish. The main volume is a subtly curved, almost lens-shaped block ribbed with continuous horizontal floor bands that stack all the way up the facade, while a squared service core with a full-height recessed channel runs up the rear like a spine. The whole tower sits on a stepped square plinth that reads as a podium and pavement, giving it a planted, weighty presence. It's built for model railway layouts, architectural dioramas and tabletop city scenery, where a single strong vertical does a lot of work behind terraced streets and smaller blocks. Cluster two or three at varied heights for a convincing downtown backdrop, or use one as a landmark centrepiece. Print notes • Print upright as modelled; the flat plinth gives excellent bed adhesion and no supports are needed on the tower body. • Hollow the core and drop the infill low to save filament on a part this size — consider printing the plinth separately for a crisp base seam. • The horizontal banding shows layer lines readily, so keep layer height fine (0.12–0.16mm) if you want the floors to read as glazing rather than print artefacts. • Scales comfortably to N or OO/HO for railways; a coat of grey primer plus a light drybrush picks out every floor line beautifully.
