Description

A brooding setback tower that gives any miniature skyline its centre of gravity. This model is a two-stage stepped high-rise: a broad lower block rises a few storeys, then steps inward to a slimmer shaft that climbs to a small penthouse crown. The near-black facade is scored top to bottom with continuous vertical window bands and slim mullions, so from a distance it reads as a dense grid of glazing racing up the piers. The whole tower sits on a pale, thin two-tier podium that lifts it cleanly off the tabletop and gives it a footprint to plant in a street. Stylistically it lands somewhere in late-modern corporate territory — the kind of commercial slab that anchors a city block behind smaller period buildings. It is built for scenery makers: OO/HO or N-gauge model railways, wargame city boards, and diorama skylines that need a tall backdrop piece with real presence. Print notes • Print the tower upright so the vertical window channels stay crisp; a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.12mm layers keeps the mullions sharp. • Hollow the core with 2–3 perimeters and low infill to save filament on a large part. • The podium base prints flat with no supports; run it as a separate plate for a clean seam. • Scale down uniformly for N gauge, or up for a hero building on a wargame board.
