Description
A modern high-rise, shrunk to fit in the palm of your layout. The model is a slab-sided office tower: a tall rectangular shaft that steps very slightly inward as it rises, wrapped on every face with regimented grids of windows and capped by a small mechanical penthouse at the roofline. It stands on a broad, pale stepped plinth that reads as the building's podium and plaza. The dark curtain-wall against the light base gives it the look of a downtown financial-district block. This is a background-defining piece for scale scenery — model-railway cityscapes, N- or HO-gauge urban layouts, architectural massing studies, or a skyline backdrop for tabletop city fights. Line a few up and you've got a believable downtown horizon. Print notes: • Print the tower standing vertically so the window courses stay crisp and the sloping walls self-support. • Hollow the shaft with a couple of millimetres of wall to save filament on a tall part; add a drain hole if resin-printing. • Consider printing the stepped base separately and slotting the tower on top for a cleaner first layer. • Keep it a flat grey or concrete tone, then pick out the glazing with a gloss or metallic wash; scale down for N-gauge or up for a chunky tabletop tower.
