Gebuilding

A tall tower rising from a broad podium, shown here as a stark black silhouette. The preview is a pure shadow, so fine detail is hidden — but the massing is clear: a slender high-rise block that steps and notches slightly toward its crown, planted on a wider, low base platform. It reads as a modern tower or office/apartment slab, the kind of anchor building you drop into a scale cityscape. The stepped top hints at rooftop plant, setbacks or a parapet line; the broad footing gives it a plaza or podium level at street. It is aimed at scale modellers, diorama and model-railway builders, and city or wargame table makers who need a background high-rise to build out a skyline. Shrunk down it fills the horizon; kept larger it works as a foreground centrepiece. Print notes: • As a tall, mostly flat-faced solid it prints easily upright on FDM — orient the largest flat face to the bed or stand it on the base for stability. • Hollow it or drop the infill low to save filament on a big print; the simple walls do not need heavy support. • Print at model-railway scale (N/OO/HO) or shrink further for 6–15mm wargaming; check that window and floor detail resolves at your chosen size before a long run. • Prime and airbrush concrete greys, then pick out glazing with a gloss coat or an inked wash for a lit-window effect.
