Subterranean assault is one of the nastier ideas in grimdark warfare: instead of crossing open ground under fire, the attackers come up through it. This is the machine that makes that possible — a heavy armoured hull built around an enormous conical bore, all reinforced plating and industrial bracing, made to chew through rock and put troops somewhere nobody was watching. Sculpted at tabletop wargaming scale as a proxy for the siege engines of the grimdark human war machine, it earns its keep several ways: a battlefield objective, a scenario centrepiece, or the signature vehicle of a tunnelling-themed force. Half-emerged from the ground, it tells a story on the table that another tank never quite manages.
