Hagia Sofia

Istanbul's skyline, shrunk to the palm of your hand. This is a stylised model of the Hagia Sophia rendered in clean low-poly geometry: a broad central dome rising on a ring of arched windows, a lower half-dome tucked beside it, and four slender pointed minarets planted at the corners of a stepped square base. Buttressed walls and a recessed arched portal complete the silhouette, keeping the famous massing recognisable while trimming it to faceted, print-friendly surfaces. It makes a tidy desk ornament, a travel keepsake, or a landmark piece for a diorama, model railway cityscape or architecture study set. The simplified forms also make it a good candidate for scaling up as a bookend or scaling down as a monopoly-style token. Print notes: • FDM prints cleanly at desk scale; the minarets are the tall, slim risk points, so add supports under their tapered tips or print them oriented to minimise overhang. • 0.16-0.2mm layers keep the dome curvature smooth; the faceted style hides layer lines well. • Grey, stone or marble-look filament suits the subject; a light sand or drybrush weathering adds age. • For a larger display piece, thicken the minaret bases when scaling to avoid fragile spires. Group it with other world-landmark prints for a shelf of miniature architecture.
