Heavy Intercessors

Gravis plate turns a battleline squad into something closer to a slow-moving wall. These are Primaris marines in the heaviest infantry armour the Imperium issues, broad across the shoulders and chest, built to walk into incoming fire rather than dodge it, and carrying the heavy bolt rifles that suit that job. On the table they are the unit you park on an objective and still expect to find there at the end of the game. They absorb punishment that would break a lighter squad, and they read instantly among ordinary infantry because of the sheer bulk. For painters there is a lot of broad, flat armour to letter, chip and weather, which makes them a better showcase than their humble battleline role suggests. Supplied as a multi-part kit at tabletop wargaming scale, sized to stand alongside the rest of an Imperial force.
