Hobgoblin Captain of the Muster Tally - Tabletop Miniature

A hobgoblin captain stands at parade rest in oxblood-lacquered iron lamellar, a pine wax tablet clamped flat against his breastplate and a broad falchion grounded edge-out along his near shin. He is not mid-roar. The shoulders are squared level under the lamellar flaps, both elbows pinned inside the shoulder line, the long ears raked straight back along the helm crest, head tipped down over the tally-board while he takes attendance. Lacquer has chipped to bare gunmetal at every plate corner; the plates are laced with fat waxed cord gone tobacco-brown, and a riveted charcoal mail sleeve runs out from under the pauldron in a coarse ring weave. Brick-terracotta hide, rust-umber in the creases, ash-grey callus across the knuckles and brow ridge, amber eyes with black pinprick pupils, bone-yellow tusks, a blue-black topknot bound in a leather sleeve. Underfoot, rammed campaign-road earth on a chamfered plinth, one snapped palisade stake, and a flattened enemy helm pressed flush into the churned mud. Whatever happened here, he is writing it down. The cruelty is clerical: a drill-ground officer doing the paperwork of a massacre, keeping a neat hand while he does it. One STL, a single part — the sculpt was not cut. Figure, falchion, tally-board and base are one continuous mesh of 202,626 triangles, watertight and manifold. As modelled the piece measures 163.447 × 173.371 × 239 mm, and at that size it was checked as fitting the build plate. Estimated print time is 198 minutes, and filament works out to about 43.97 g in PLA — that weight is extruded volume multiplied by PLA density, not a figure the slicer reported. Overhanging surface is 10.44%. The thinnest wall in the mesh is 1.029 mm, which is the number to watch if you scale down to 32 mm heroic for the table, because it shrinks with everything else. None. Both boot soles, the lowest armour skirt flap and the grounded falchion tip swell into the base as one mass, with a generous fillet at every junction. No pins, no sockets, no glue. The underside is milled wide, level and flat. Buy once and print it as often as you like for yourself, for your own table or your own shelf. The file itself stays private: do not resell, share or pass on the mesh, modified or otherwise. A commercial licence covering sales of printed copies is offered separately, at four to five times the file price. 2026-10-12 — first release.
