Iron Hands armies lean hard on augmetics and the Cult Mechanicus, and the guns carry that through: cabling, cog-work, reinforced housings and the look of equipment that has been stripped, rebuilt and pressed back into service more than once. With twenty-two files in the set, there is scope to give a whole squad some individuality, or to sprinkle heavier, more mechanical-looking arms through a force that currently looks like it came off one sprue. Conversion work is the obvious use, whether you are building a bionics-heavy successor chapter or just want a commander holding something that nobody else on the table is holding. Equally handy as raw material: weapon parts are the pieces kitbashers run out of first, and a deep pool of them keeps a project moving.
