Description

A slim, no-nonsense fitting for a prop build. This part is a long, low-profile angular component moulded in matte black: a shallow channel/lip that runs almost the full length, with chamfered, tapered ends and two small through-holes — one near each end — for screws or pins. It's a functional bracket-style piece rather than a showpiece, the kind of fitting that mounts, caps or joins parts of a larger cosplay katana or display assembly. Because it's structural, print it for strength rather than looks: • FDM in PLA+ or PETG is ideal; keep the flat face on the bed so layer lines run along the length and the part resists snapping. • Use 4+ perimeters and 30–40% infill — this is a load-bearing/mounting piece, not decorative. • The two holes are sized for fasteners; ream or drill them to your exact screw or dowel diameter after printing for a snug, rattle-free fit. • Add a brim if the thin, long footprint threatens to lift at the corners during printing. Finishing is quick: a light sand, primer and satin-black (or a metallic if it needs to read as a blade fitting) blends it straight into a prop. Handy as a fixing or lid within a katana build or stand — dry-fit against your other pieces before committing to glue so the hole spacing lines up.
