Description

A wrapped katana hilt, ready to finish the blade you're building. This file is the grip section of a Kokushibo-style katana prop, and the silhouette tells the story: a long, straight handle ribbed with the diagonal ridges of a tsuka-ito wrap, flaring into a rounded, organic guard and pommel at the base. It has that slightly bone-like, flesh-forged quality fans of the character expect, rather than a clean parade-sword look. On its own it's the tsuka (hilt) part of a multi-piece build, so it's aimed at cosplayers, prop makers and Demon Slayer fans assembling a full-length katana around a central rod or dowel. Mate it with a printed or bought blade, add a tsuba, and you have a display sword for a shelf, a photo shoot or a convention loadout. Print notes • Print upright along the handle's length for the cleanest wrap ridges; a brim helps with the small base footprint. • Hollow the core or leave a channel so a wooden dowel or carbon rod can run through for real rigidity — this piece will take handling stress. • PLA is fine for display; PETG if it'll be carried around at events. • Sand the wrap lightly, then paint the ridges black with a drybrushed highlight to make the weave pop before sealing. Because it's a component, plan your scale against the rest of your katana parts before slicing so the proportions stay true to the character.
