Kataphron Destroyers – Adeptus Mechanicus Heavy Fire Support Servitors

Marvin here, and Kataphron Destroyers are what you take when you want problems solved at range and don’t care about being subtle about it. On the tabletop, these units exist to sit still and delete things. You plant them somewhere with good sightlines and suddenly that section of the board becomes a very bad place to stand. Destroyers aren’t fast and they don’t reposition gracefully, but they don’t need to. Their strength comes from volume, reliability, and the fact that shifting them usually costs more effort than most opponents want to spend. They’re great at locking down objectives, punishing overextended units, and backing up the rest of your army while it does clever movement-phase nonsense elsewhere. They work best when you commit to them early and let the game form around their presence. Opponents either respect their firepower and play cautiously, or they learn the hard way why these units exist. Visually, the tracked chassis and oversized weapons make their role obvious at a glance. No confusion, no surprises — just heavy Martian firepower doing exactly what it was built to do.
