Description

A stepped Art Deco tower reaching for a miniature skyline. This building model rises through a series of setbacks — a broad blocky base, tiered shoulders that pull inward as they climb, and a slender crown capped by a pointed spire. The faceted, almost voxel-like massing gives it that unmistakable 1920s–30s skyscraper silhouette, all vertical piers and receding ledges, like a pocket-sized Empire State or civic high-rise. It is terrain and scenery fodder: drop it into a model-railway cityscape, a tabletop-wargame urban board, an architectural diorama or a desk skyline of landmark towers. At N or HO scale it fills a city block; enlarged, it stands alone as a display piece. Print notes • Print upright on the base — the setbacks stack as clean overhangs and usually need no supports on a well-tuned machine. • FDM handles this shape well thanks to the flat planar faces; 0.2 mm layers keep the ledges crisp. • The fine spire tip benefits from a slower top-layer speed, or print it whole and tidy the point afterwards. • Leave it hollow with a couple of perimeters to save filament, and prime in concrete grey before adding lit-window detail for a night-time look.
