Named characters are the reason most people start converting in the first place. One model with a story attached is worth a dozen anonymous troopers, and a knight-monk chapter gives a sculptor more story than most: ritual, penance, ancient oaths and a great deal of unfinished business. Officers in that mould live or die on posture. They have to read as men who give orders and keep secrets rather than as rank-and-file marines issued better weapons, and the robed, ceremonial side of the chapter's dress gives a sculpt far more to work with than standard battleplate does. Two files at tabletop wargaming scale, for players after a distinctive command choice, or a centrepiece worth setting aside a weekend to paint properly.
