Mek Gun

Ork artillery is not so much designed as accumulated. A Mek finds a barrel, off a wrecked tank, a mining rig, something that was once mounted on a ship, bolts it to a carriage, welds plate over whatever looked fragile, and hands the finished contraption to a grot crew who are told very firmly which end is which. That is the object here: an oversized gun on a rolling mount, riveted and patched and cheerfully top-heavy, the way greenskin war machines always look like they are one shot away from tipping over and somehow never do. It should read as salvage, because everything in an Ork army is. This is a large kit with a great deal in it, which suits a weapon rarely fielded on its own. A battery of them lined up behind a green tide is a familiar sight across the table.
