Nederlander Theatre (oriental Theater)

A slender early-twentieth-century tower rendered in miniature, cornice to sidewalk. This architectural model captures a tall, narrow commercial high-rise — the Nederlander (Oriental) Theatre building — as a full facade block. Row upon row of regularly spaced windows climb the slab, framed by subtly projecting pilaster lines, while the crown is finished with arched openings and a heavy overhanging cornice that reads as classic Beaux-Arts / early skyscraper styling. The grey render shows off the crisp, repeating fenestration and the recessed base with its street-level detailing. It's a compact, upright massing built to stand shoulder to shoulder with other buildings. It's aimed at diorama builders, model-railway scenery (N, HO/OO or smaller city blocks), wargaming urban tables and skyline collectors who want a recognisable landmark facade. Print notes • Print the tower upright as modelled so the vertical window mullions and pilasters stay crisp; a 0.4 mm nozzle copes, but resin or a 0.2–0.25 mm nozzle will resolve the fine grid far better. • The projecting cornice at the top is the most fragile feature — handle it gently and consider a brim for bed adhesion. • Hollow the interior and add drain holes if you scale it up for resin, to save material and avoid suction. • Paint with a light stone base coat and a thin dark wash to pop every window recess and pull out the masonry lines.
