Nurgling with a shroom

Nurglings are the small fry of the plague god's menagerie: squat, grinning, pot-bellied imps that swarm around their betters and cause trouble by weight of numbers. This one has got hold of a mushroom and is plainly delighted about it, hauling the fungus about like stolen treasure. It is a single-figure sculpt carrying a lot of personality for its size, which makes it useful two ways over. On the table it slots into a Death Guard or daemon force as part of a swarm, and a handful of them fill the space around a larger centrepiece without looking like filler. Off the table it makes a good painter's warm-up, small enough to finish in an evening and characterful enough to be worth the effort. Anyone building a rotting, cheerful, faintly disgusting corner of a display shelf will find room for it.
