The ancient world in miniature — a Doric temple you can hold in one hand. This grey scale model recreates a classical Greek peripteral temple in the Parthenon mould: a full colonnade of fluted columns wrapping the perimeter, seated on a stepped stylobate of three tiers, and topped by a low pitched roof with pedimented gable ends. The proportions are clean and academic, capturing the rhythm of column and entablature that defines the style. It is ideal for history teachers and students, diorama and model-railway builders needing a landmark, tabletop wargamers wanting ancient terrain, or anyone who simply likes architecture on the shelf. Left in bare filament it reads convincingly as weathered marble. Print notes • Orient it flat on the stepped base; the roof pitch is shallow enough to print cleanly with minimal support. • The colonnade is the tricky part — add supports between and behind the outer columns, and print slow on outer walls to keep the flutes crisp. • FDM at 0.12–0.16mm captures the steps and columns; resin if you want fine flute detail on a smaller print. • Finish with a grey stone primer and a thin black wash to sink shadow into the column gaps and step lines.
