Description
The world's most famous architectural wobble, shrunk to shelf scale. This is a complete model of the Leaning Tower of Pisa — a slender cylindrical campanile ringed, tier after tier, with open colonnaded galleries of narrow columns and rounded arches. The stacked arcades climb toward a wider bell chamber at the crown, and the whole drum rests on a broad circular footing. Even in a plain render the rhythm of the columns and the gentle taper read clearly. It suits diorama builders, model-railway landscapers, souvenir shelves and anyone assembling a set of world landmarks. Printed small it becomes a keepsake; scaled up, a centrepiece for an Italian-themed display. Print notes • Stand it vertically on the base so the arcade rings print in clean horizontal layers. • The open galleries are the tricky part — enable supports for the arches, or thicken the columns slightly if fine spans give your printer trouble. • Resin captures the colonnades faithfully at small scale; for FDM, print larger with a 0.4 mm nozzle and fine layers. • Print upright or at the true lean — the tilt is half the appeal, so check orientation before slicing. • Finish in a warm sandstone tone to echo the original marble.
