Plague marine aspiriant

An aspirant is the rank that has not quite arrived yet: a warrior taken into a plague-ridden legion and already being changed by it, but not one of the swollen veterans who have carried the rot for centuries. That makes for a more interesting sculpt than the fully bloated version, because the armour underneath is still recognisably a soldier's plate rather than a shell holding something else together. The visual vocabulary is the one the faction is written with: split and distended armour, pitted and eaten-away metal, a body that no longer sits properly inside its own wargear, and a weapon carried with the unhurried patience these troops are known for. A single-model addition for anyone building a decay-themed grimdark force, a skirmish warband, or a character piece for a display base, and a rewarding one to paint, since rot and corrosion reward layering far more than clean armour does.
