A squad leader drawn from the taller, later generation of genetically engineered soldiers who fight the Imperium's wars. The core archetype is the rank-and-file rifleman in heavy power armour, but this figure carries the marks of authority that separate a sergeant from the marines under him, posed as the man giving the order while still holding the firing line. Sergeants carry disproportionate weight in a collection. They are the model that gives a unit its identity, the one that gets the extra hour of painting, and the figure most often converted to mark out veterans or tie a squad to a particular company. Arriving as a multi-part kit leaves room for exactly that sort of tinkering. For a proxy army it fills the slot that never stops being needed: whatever else changes, every battleline squad wants someone standing at the front of it.
