Skyscraper 04

A high-rise for the palm of your hand. Skyscraper 04 is a tall, tapering office tower whose facade is scored by dozens of stacked floor slabs, giving it a finely ribbed silhouette that catches shadow all the way up. The corners are gently chamfered, the crown carries a boxy rooftop plant room, read it as mechanical housing or a helipad, and the base flares into splayed buttresses over a recessed ground-floor lobby, all seated on a square plinth. The model is a clean, untextured massing form, which is exactly what makes it flexible: it drops straight into a model-railway cityscape, a wargaming board, an architectural diorama or a desktop skyline. A few build notes • It prints upright with almost no supports; only the base overhang wants a light touch. • Those horizontal layer lines actually flatter the floor banding, so FDM is a friend here rather than a compromise. • Scale to your gauge, N, OO/HO or 6-15mm wargaming, and print several at different heights for a convincing block. • Hollow it with a couple of perimeters to save filament, or leave it solid as a landmark paperweight. Window decals or a wash of grime bring it to life.
