Space Marine Captain

A power-armoured commander mid-stride, thunder hammer crackling and boarding shield raised. This is a heavyset space-marine officer sculpted in the classic grimdark-heroic mould. The painted reference shows him in deep cobalt-blue plate trimmed with gold — the sort of high-ranking HQ character who anchors an Adeptus-Astartes-style force. His domed helm carries a single red visor slit and a rebreather grille, and above it sits a spiked golden halo crowned with a skull. Broad, layered pauldrons frame a torso stamped with a winged aquila, and one boot presses onto a rubble-and-bone base for that trophy-of-war stance. His left fist chokes up on a two-handed thunder hammer with a blocky, rune-etched head; his right arm carries a heavy boarding shield fanned with gilt sunburst rays and rivet studs. The panel work is crisp enough to reward edge-highlighting, making him a proper centrepiece to paint. Use him as a proxy captain or chapter master for 28mm skirmish games, or simply as a display hero on a scenic plinth. Print notes • Resin (MSLA) captures the gold filigree and helm grille best — run 0.03 mm layers or finer. • Split at the shoulder and weapon joins; anchor tree supports on the shield rim and hammer haft to spare the face. • Tilt 30–45° so nothing lands on the front aquila. • Prime zenithal grey-to-white before laying down the blue.
