Space Marine Captain

Command in an Astartes company sits with an officer who fights at the head of his warriors rather than behind them, and this figure is sculpted in that mould: a superhuman soldier in heavy power armour, caught mid-advance, carrying the bearing of someone used to being obeyed without argument. Captains are the natural centrepiece of a grimdark space-marine force. They are the HQ choice a list is built around, and usually the model a collector puts the most paint hours into. The pose and the sheer mass of the armour give a painter plenty to work with, from layered plates and cabling to the ornamentation that separates an officer from a line trooper. It comes as a multi-part kit, which suits army-builders adding a commander to a growing force just as well as it suits players looking for an alternative to a boxed character model.
