Command in the Adeptus Astartes runs through the company captain: a veteran of centuries of warfare, entrusted with a hundred battle-brothers and expected to be first through the breach rather than safe behind it. Captains are marked out by the trappings of rank — artificer armour, honour scrolls, a chapter's heraldry worn openly — and by a fighting style that puts them at the point of the assault rather than at the back of it. This is a proxy sculpt of that archetype for heroic-scale 28mm grimdark tabletop games, built to head up a marine force as its HQ choice. It is also the model most army projects end up caring about most: the one figure a painter slows down for, where chapter colours, freehand devices and metallics get attention that rank-and-file troopers never quite justify. Useful at the front of a list, and just as happy standing alone on a shelf.
