Space Ork

Greenskins are the setting's comic relief and one of its genuinely alarming threats at the same time: brutally strong, fungal, cheerfully violent, and carrying weapons that seem to function mainly because their owner is certain they will. This is one of them, sculpted as a proxy figure for tabletop skirmish and mass-battle games, hunched forward with the jaw leading and slab muscle showing under a few scavenged plates. The character of an ork sculpt lives almost entirely in the silhouette. Long arms, short legs, a head sunk down between the shoulders and a gun that looks welded together out of three other guns. Get that shape right and the model announces itself from across the table before anyone picks out a rivet. As a single figure rather than a squad set, it works as a unit filler, a test piece before committing to a horde, or a subject for practising rust, dents and improvised armour.
