A slice of old-town Stockholm, shrunk to fit your layout. This model captures a tall Scandinavian merchant townhouse of the kind that lines Stortorget square — a squat, four-storey block with a proud stepped and scrolled gable crowning the facade. Rows of deep-set square windows march in even ranks across two frontages, a moulded string course runs beneath the roofline, and a chimney stack rises off the ridge. The roof is modelled hollow with internal ribs, and the whole building sits on a slim skirting plinth so it drops neatly onto a baseboard. It suits diorama builders, model-railway scenery and wargamers wanting a believable European urban backdrop. Print a terrace of them at slightly varied heights and you've got an instant continental street. Print notes • FDM handles this happily; 0.2 mm layers read fine once painted, and the flat walls need no supports if you print the building upright as one piece. • The recessed windows are shadow-gap detail — a wash of dark grey over a stone or render base coat brings them out instantly. • Check scale before slicing: bring it to N or OO/HO for railways, or 6–15 mm for tabletop; the single STL scales cleanly. • Hollow the roof cavity as-is to save filament, and glaze the windows with clear acetate offcuts if you want lit interiors.
