Sydonian Dragoon – Adeptus Mechanicus Fast Assault Walker

Marvin here, and the Sydonian Dragoon is what happens when the Mechanicus decides that speed and violence should arrive at the same time. On the tabletop, Dragoons aren’t about hanging back or trading shots — they’re about getting in the way fast and forcing your opponent to react earlier than they wanted to. These walkers thrive in the midfield. They push into awkward angles, threaten charges, block movement, and generally make it hard for your opponent to execute a clean plan. Even if they never make the perfect charge, their speed alone forces wider screens, conservative positioning, and hesitation — which is often worth more than the damage they deal. Dragoons are especially good at: Pressuring central objectives early Threatening units that thought they were safe Blocking movement lanes with their tall profiles Trading themselves to disrupt better units They’re not built to survive forever, and that’s fine. A Dragoon that dies after forcing bad movement or pulling fire away from more important units has done exactly what it’s supposed to do. Visually, the tall, spindly walker frame makes their role obvious. Everyone knows these things move fast and hit hard up close, which helps games flow without constant reminders or gotcha moments. They’re aggressive, disposable, and extremely annoying — which is precisely why they’re so effective when used well.
