Talos – Drukhari Pain Engine

This is a Talos, and yes — it’s the rare Drukhari unit that doesn’t immediately fall over when someone looks at it. On the tabletop, Talos-style units exist to do the opposite of what most of the army does: they stay put and absorb attention. You push them into the mid-board, park them on something important, and dare your opponent to spend real resources shifting them. They’re not fast, they’re not subtle, and they’re not meant to trade efficiently in a single turn. Their value comes from being annoying for longer than expected, tying up space, and giving the rest of your army freedom to play aggressively elsewhere. If your opponent ignores them, they get punished; if they focus them down, that usually means your fragile units are getting a free pass. Either outcome is fine. If this thing survives longer than planned, that’s a bonus — but even when it doesn’t, it usually takes more effort to remove than anyone wanted to spend.
