Thunderfire Cannon Heads

Artillery crew rarely get the attention the gun does. This is a set of replacement helmets for exactly that overlooked figure: the armoured specialist who serves a squat, tracked bombardment piece, walking shells onto a grid reference from behind a quad-barrelled mount while the rest of the force advances past him. The forms follow the sealed, heavy-collared armour that suits a gunner working in the open under counter-battery fire, closer to siege equipment than to anything worn by a boarding party. Read at arm's length across a board, a head is what separates one crewman from the next. These are conversion bits rather than a complete miniature, so the audience is hobbyists with a bits box: anyone assembling a heavy support battery, converting an artillery specialist or armoury techpriest from spares, or building a grimdark diorama around a dug-in gun position who wants the crew to look like individuals.
