Description

Lisbon's river-fortress shrunk to the tabletop, battlements and all. This is a stylised scale model of the Torre de Belém, the 16th-century watchtower that guards the mouth of the Tagus. The square keep rises in stacked stages, each ringed with crenellated battlements and capped at the corners by little domed bartizan turrets. One face carries an arched loggia gallery; narrow Gothic window slots pierce the walls; and a lower walled terrace — the old bulwark — wraps around the front, its parapet lined with merlons and dotted with small watch-turrets. The geometry is deliberately low-poly and faceted, which keeps it reading crisply at model scale. It's aimed at architecture and landmark collectors, diorama and model-railway builders, wargame terrain-makers, and anyone wanting a tidy Lisbon souvenir or a teaching prop for a history or geography lesson. Print notes: • It slices well on an FDM printer; the tower prints upright straight off the bed. • The battlement gaps and loggia arches may want a little support — or print at a slightly larger scale to keep those openings clean. • Hollow the interior and drop the infill to save filament on the solid keep. • Size it for N or HO railway scenery, tabletop terrain, or blow it up as a mantel display; no multi-part splitting is required for a basic print.
