Description
A slim tower block that drops a whole skyline onto your tabletop. This model is a faceted mid-rise tower rendered as a scale building. The shaft is roughly octagonal, its corners chamfered so light catches each edge, and it climbs through around a dozen ranked floors of shallow rectangular windows before tapering into a low hipped cap at the crown. The whole thing sits on a stepped square plinth with a recessed border line, giving it a planted, purpose-built look rather than a floating block. It is aimed at model-railway builders, wargamers dressing an urban board, and diorama makers who need believable height at the back of a cityscape. Stand a couple together and you have a downtown; print one large and it works as a standalone architectural study or a desk piece. Print notes: • Print upright on the plinth — the flat base means the tower body needs no supports at all. • The window recesses are shallow; a 0.12–0.16 mm layer height keeps the floor lines crisp. • Hollow the shaft with a few perimeters (or vase-adjacent settings) to save filament on the taller prints. • Scale down for N or OO gauge, or blow it up for a chunky brutalist ornament; the pointed roof cap prints cleanest with a small brim to anchor it. Grey resin or a matte PLA both read well; a wash of dark paint in the window rows makes the floors pop instantly.
