Description

A cracked stasis pod, its occupant long gone and the glass blown outward. This is a science-fiction cryopod built as tabletop terrain: a chunky, faceted chamber unit with a rounded canopy, a control shoulder to one side, and a jagged breach where the viewing pane has shattered inward. A pale glowing strip runs down the edge, reading as a status light or coolant seam. The set is designed as a modular kit rather than a single lump: the files include a solid pod main body, a matching lid, an acid-scarred alternate lid, intact and broken glass panes you can swap, plus a standalone cryobank wall and a console-equipped variant for lining a laboratory or derelict ship interior. Dropped onto a 28-32mm battlefield it works as an objective marker, a chunk of scatter, or the centrepiece of a cloning-vat room. Print the broken pane for a raided, story-driven table and the clean pane for a facility still under power. Print notes • FDM-friendly geometry; the main body sits flat with no supports, while the lid and console want a light support touch on overhangs. • Print the glass panes in clear or translucent filament/resin so a bit of interior detail shows through. • Resin captures the shattered edges crisply; at FDM sizes a 0.2mm layer is plenty for scatter terrain. • Prime dark, drybrush the metalwork, then glaze the light strip with a fluorescent for an easy under-glow effect.
