Abyssal Serpent Diving Helm

A deep-sea diving helm with a serpent-god's face where the viewport should be: an egg-shaped bronze dome on a broad rolled neck ring, the hood swept back flat against the crown, the blunt fanged jaw pushed forward as the faceplate. The ornament is 1930s ocean-liner metalwork — stepped ziggurat flutes, sunburst rays, chevron banding — chased into the casting broad and deep, every cut with a flat land beside it, so the surface holds shadow across a room instead of dissolving into fine detail. The faceplate is a scalloped ammonite in polished nickel; smoked amber lenses sit behind bronze bezels; abyssal indigo and teal enamel floods the chevron channels while verdigris crusts the low ground and soot sits in the deepest cuts. It stands on a stepped circular plinth of three shallow tiers, the top ring scored with a radiating sunburst, the neck collar swelling down into it as one unbroken casting with a fat cove fillet at the meeting. The fiction the sculpt carries is dredging rather than manufacture: a votive helm off a liner that went down over the shrine it was carrying, solemn and faintly menacing, closer to a temple relic than a costume piece. Nothing — fin, fang or ray — breaks past the neck ring's own footprint, so the outline stays one closed weighty ovoid and the piece reads as a diver's helmet first and a face second. The download is one model in one part. It measures 192 mm tall on a 146.471 × 147.64 mm footprint, and that height is the number that decides the purchase: the helm was designed to be printed whole, uncut, so the dome has no seam to fill. The mesh carries 191,654 triangles and measures watertight and manifold, with the plinth underside milled wide, level and flat. The mesh was checked against the build plate and fits. Estimated print time is 1,319 minutes. About 547 g of filament, derived from the model's volume rather than weighed. Minimum wall thickness measures 1.79 mm and overhanging area measures 7.66 percent of the surface. No assembly. The model was not cut into parts, so there is nothing to align, pin or glue.
