Bauhaus Oracle Automaton Helm

Every question put to the shop at Ganz & Söhne goes first to the oracle-automaton helm on the end of the bench: a squat steel robot head in cobalt enamel, bolted through a square pad, its dial face turned toward whoever is asking. The clerk asks his question out loud, waits, and the signal-red horn where a mouth should be gives its flat one-word answer. Then he goes back to weighing silver. The sculpt is the Weimar workshop idea of a head taken literally — hemisphere skull, cylinder ears clamped tight to the sides, cone mouth, flat pressed-tin disc set flush into the front plane, and nothing on it that is not a bolt, a seam or a graduation mark. Baked machine enamel in strict primaries, worn through to bright nickel-white on the high curves; chrome-yellow ring around the dial, cool grey on the barrel collar, soot-black numerals ranged under a painted pointer mark, a stitched oxblood leather gasket at the neck. The collar swells down into the base as one poured mass with a fat radius at the join. Broader than it is tall, patient, deadpan, and unmistakably a machine that expects to be consulted. WHAT YOU GET. One model, a single part, not cut for assembly: 91.303 × 110.486 × 115 mm, 172.5247 cm³, 165,324 triangles, watertight and manifold. Images are renders; no printed photograph exists yet. PRINTING IT. Estimated print time is 458 minutes. Estimated weight is about 120.43 g of filament, derived from the extruded volume rather than reported by a slicer. Thinnest wall in the mesh measures 1.708 mm and overhanging surface measures 9.38 percent, and the model fits the build plate it was checked against. Nothing here has been printed, so the profile and the material are your own business. ASSEMBLY. There is none. Skull, dial plate, ears, horn, collar and base are one solid piece — the dial does not turn and the knobs do not move — and no part of it was split, keyed or pinned. LICENCE. Buying the file lets you print it for yourself, as many times as you like, in whatever you load. Do not resell or redistribute the file itself. Selling printed copies needs the separate commercial licence, offered at a multiple of the file price. CHANGELOG. 2026-09-11 — first release.
