Description

A clean, minimalist sheath for a display katana. Shown here as a long, gently tapering form, this is a blade cover — a slim sleeve that slides over the edge of a prop katana to protect it and lend a finished, scabbard-like silhouette when the sword is racked or carried. It is the first cover in the set, running almost the full length of the blade with a subtle narrowing toward the tip. The render is a plain solid, so treat this as a functional prop component rather than a decorative showpiece: its whole job is a crisp, straight, uninterrupted line. That makes it a good fit for cosplayers finishing a samurai loadout, LARP builders who want a safe blade guard, and collectors mounting a katana on the wall without leaving the edge exposed. Print notes • Print upright, or split it lengthwise along the seam for the smoothest sides; a slightly higher wall count keeps the long sleeve rigid. • Hollow the inner channel to match your specific blade width before slicing — measure twice. • FDM in PLA or PETG is plenty; sand the seam and prime for a lacquered black or brushed-metal finish. • If printed as two halves, glue them around the blade and fill the join before painting.
