A gaunt, hollow-faced ghoul stalks off a shattered slab of rock, a grinning skull talisman swinging from a chain at its hip. Whatever the file was named, the model itself is pure dark fantasy: an emaciated undead figure, ribs and sinews pulled tight beneath the skin, a near-featureless skull for a face, and long clawed fingers. It hunches forward in a predatory crouch, a slender blade held low in one hand and a tattered rag hanging from its belt, the whole thing rising from an integrated broken-stone base. This is a centrepiece creature for horror and fantasy tables — a wight, revenant or lich's thrall for D&D and skirmish games — and equally a moody display statue for a painter who enjoys bones, hollows and rot. Print notes: • A resin/SLA printer is strongly recommended; the rib cage, tendons and skull detail are too fine for filament. • Support the outstretched blade arm and the overhanging rock lip carefully, keeping the face and torso support-free. • For a large display size, hollow the torso and split at the waist to save resin and simplify supports. • Zenithal prime white over black, then use thin washes of bone, grey and bruised flesh tones to bring out the emaciation.
