Description

A mimic wearing the shape of a lacquered gaming cabinet, stood upright on two stumpy clawed pseudopods, is the whole of this sculpt: near-black walnut lacquer with chestnut depth in the polished panels and an ox-blood glow where light turns the grain, chalk-pale crazing across the lifting varnish, bone-cream and abalone-grey marquetry threaded with a thin brass stringing line, and four mismatched eyes budded out of the rosette positions in cold tallow-white, muddy amber, bile-yellow and dull jade. The hinged lid cranks back part-way and holds there like a cocked jaw, stout wooden fangs along both rims with blunt chipped tips and umber staining at the roots, a hot oxblood tongue slung over the front sill and its tip resting on the stone. Mouldings swell into muscle bellies, a carved frieze stretches into gum tissue, penny-brass escutcheons sit sunk in puckered rings of flesh, and a drawer front hangs open as a scabbed flap on a sprung pull. One arm-pseudopod hugs a honey-tan dice tower flat to the flank, the other caps a bottle-green felted game-bag sagging with counters, and cords of ochre slime hug the lower rim. The plinth is fitted dungeon flagstone with a chalked wager ring, two spilled bone dice, a crushed tin cup and a snapped stool leg tooled in flush. Masses are cut as fat panel lands and deep moulding troughs, so it reads at 28–32 mm heroic scale and turns nastier rather than fussier at display size. This one has worked out that the surest bait in a dungeon is a games cabinet with the pieces already set out, and it has been waiting politely all week. WHAT YOU GET One model file. Single part, not cut. Watertight and manifold, 199,742 triangles. Integrated round flagstone plinth, milled broad, true and level underneath. 71.776 × 75.505 × 100 mm as supplied. Digital files only. PRINTING IT Fits the build plate at the supplied size. Measured print time 268 minutes, with about 69.96 g of filament — that weight is extruded volume multiplied by PLA density, not a figure the slicer gave. Thinnest wall measures 2.187 mm; 13.91 percent of the surface sits in overhang. No test print has been run, so supports and profile are your call. ASSEMBLY None. One part, base included, nothing to glue, pin or align. LICENCE Buy once, print as often as you like for yourself, your friends and your own table. Do not resell, re-upload or pass the file on. Selling prints needs the commercial licence, which is sold separately as its own tier. CHANGELOG 2026-11-07 — first release. Single-part sculpt with integrated flagstone plinth; mesh watertight and manifold. Images are renders; a printed photograph is still owed.
