Roof Tiles Lamp

Two curved sections of blockwork, each built from big chamfered rectangles laid in staggered courses like brick. The blocks are generous, three or four to a course rather than a dozen, which keeps the whole thing bold instead of fussy. Every face is peppered with small pits and pocks, so the surface is broken up without any course losing its line. Each panel bends through a soft corner partway along its length, and the top edge is left ragged: high at one end, then dipping and stepping down toward the other, the way a wall comes down when nobody demolished it on purpose. The two sections stand one behind the other, the inner one lower, both curving gently rather than turning a tight arc.
