Socle

A clean, no-fuss pedestal to lift your model off the shelf. Socle, French for "base", is exactly that: a smooth low elliptical disc rendered here in glossy blue, a shallow cylinder with a softly rounded top edge and a flat underside. Nothing ornamental competes with whatever you set on it; the whole point is a calm circular stage that makes a bust, figurine, miniature or trinket look finished and intentional. Drop a resin character on it, a chess piece, a crystal, a die, a small plant pot, anything that benefits from a defined footprint. Because it is a plain round plinth it scales to whatever you are displaying and takes paint, primer or a metallic rub-and-buff beautifully. Print notes • Print flat on the bed, top face up, for a mirror-smooth upper surface with zero supports. • A wide brim is optional but steadies the thin outer edge if your first layer runs cool. • For a display-grade top, use a fine layer height (0.12-0.16 mm) or wet-sand and prime; the broad flat surface shows every line. • Resin printers can lay it flat for a glassy finish, or tilt slightly and hollow to save material. Print one, or a matched set to unify a whole shelf of collectibles.
