Tourelle Balcon

A fairy-tale turret top, cage balcony and all, ready to glow from the inside. This multi-part model builds the crowning section of a decorative tower: a slender balustrade of vertical bars encircling an open balcony, capped by a stepped domed roof, sitting on a bulbous body ringed with a band of raised beads and tapering to a pointed finial base. The parts list tells the story, with a flag, roof junction, spire, upper and lower body, socket, roof and a dedicated LED support. It is engineered to be lit, the caged balcony acting as a lantern while the beaded drum diffuses the glow below. Perfect as a lamp finial, a fantasy diorama tower cap, a nightlight, or a whimsical shelf ornament. Print notes • Print the caged balcony vertically so the thin bars grow cleanly along the Z axis; light supports only where they meet the rings. • Keep the body walls a touch thicker if you want the LED glow soft rather than see-through. • Feed a warm 3 to 5 mm LED or a short strip up through the socket; the LED support locates it centrally. • Use translucent or white filament for the body if lighting it, opaque for the cap and spire. • Dry-fit the roof junction before gluing, as it keys the cap onto the balcony ring.
