The hub carries a recessed square socket — clearly a mount point, as though it seats down onto a square peg or shaft. It reads as a decorative rosette or backplate rather than any literal figure, with a soft, quilted, almost upholstered look to the swelling segments. It works as a wall rosette, a knob or pull backplate, a cabinet or furniture ornament, or a small fascia medallion. Print notes (FDM or resin) • The smooth, swelling curves will show layer lines on FDM — print at a fine layer height, or use resin, to keep that glossy read; prime and lightly sand if you want the render's polish. • The square central socket is the functional feature — measure it against your shaft or hardware before slicing. • Orient face-up on the flat back; the outer scallops overhang gently, so a few light supports beneath them help. • The ruffled rim is delicate — slow the outer perimeter for a cleaner edge.
