Description

A serene face turned to the sky. This is a stylised feminine head sculpture, tilted back so the chin lifts and the gaze rises upward. The hair is swept into long, flowing waves that rope back from the brow and curl behind a delicately modelled ear, and the features are smooth and idealised — softly arched brows, closed almond eyes, a straight nose and full lips — in a calm, almost meditative expression. The neck opens into a hollow base, with an internal triangular strut visible where it would seat onto a body, stand or vase collar. That hollow underside makes it versatile: mount it on a plinth as a decorative bust, top a figure or mannequin, or repurpose it as the crown of a head-planter or vessel. The upward tilt gives it real drama on a shelf, mantel or windowsill, catching light across the cheekbones and hair. Print notes • Resin is the natural choice here — the soft facial transitions and hair strands come out crispest with fine layers; orient the head tilted back-and-down so supports land on the underside and hair mass, keeping the face support-free. • On FDM, print with the neck opening on the bed and use tree supports under the chin and jaw; 0.08–0.12mm layers help the smooth planes. • Sand and prime before painting — a marble, bronze or single flat tone all suit the classical mood. • Check the wall thickness at the neck if you intend to use it as a planter or vessel.
