A smooth architectural ledge with a scooped, rounded underside. The render is deliberately plain: a rectangular top slab with a small return lip at one end, and beneath it a body that sweeps down into a half-round, boat-like curve. The French title — appui de fenêtre, a window sill — fits the form exactly. It is a sill or ledge profile: flat and functional on top, softened to a curved belly below so it sheds cleanly and reads well from the room. Think of it as a building block rather than a finished ornament. It suits architectural models and dioramas as a sill or cornice piece, works as a small wall shelf or ledge, or serves as a profile master you scale to fit a real opening. The uncluttered surfaces make it easy to modify, tile end-to-end, or use as a base for something you add on top. Print / CNC notes • Print with the flat top face down on the bed; that gives the crispest top edge and puts the curved underside facing up, where a little support cleans off easily. • Or stand it on the flat back for a support-free run if your slicer bridges the curve well. • Add perimeters if it will carry weight as a shelf; the thin return lip is the weak point. • A matte finish suits it — light sanding and primer, then paint to match stone, render or timber.
