It is a useful piece for anyone building architecture at scale: model railway platforms, dolls' houses, dioramas and facade mock-ups all need believable window details, and a repeatable sill like this dresses a wall instantly. At full size it also works as a casting master for a resin or plaster sill. Print notes: • Lay it flat on the top face so the curved underside overhangs — a light support raft under the sweep keeps the drip edge clean. • Print in PLA or resin; sand the front bull-nose along its length for a smooth painted-stone finish. • Scale the length freely and butt several together to run under a wide window. • Prime and stipple with grey and sandstone tones to read as cast concrete or limestone.
